WAM policies & regulations
I. Our Ministry will be officially called "Worship and Arts Ministry (WAM)" in
accordance to our Mother church, the Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide. WAM is
composed of various sub-ministries. In our case, we currently have 2
sub-ministries so far and these are: "Jesus' Army of Musicians (JAM)", which is
the group composed of musicians and "Voices In Adoration (VIA)", which is
composed of singers.
II. We have established a core-group within the Worship and Arts Ministry who
will be in-charge of the management, training and development of the whole team.
The Core group is composed of Overall Leader Bro Pip, Bro. Mitch(JAM), Bro. Aeron, Sis. KC, Bro. Migs, Bro Ram, Bro Mico, Bro JR, Bro. Chris and Bro. Rudy
issues and concerns within the Worship and Arts Ministry will be referred to and
addressed by the core-group.
III. The core-group has discussed and agreed to establish a regular assembly of
ALL Worship Ministers to have our time to worship as a team. This includes all
musicians, singers and trainees. This assembly will also give us the opportunity
to get our trainees to start getting more involved and have hands-on practical
experience in playing their instruments or even leading worship for singers.
This also gives us a chance not just to focus on our skills but also to develop
our relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the study of His
word and at the same time, we'll also have the chance to strengthen one another
through words of encouragements and testimonies. This will commence on the 20th
of June 2009 @ 5pm onwards to be held at our JIL Church West Auckland facility
and will be every fortnight from then on.
IV. There will also be new terms and conditions, as discussed and agreed upon by
the core-group, to be implemented within the Worship and Arts Ministry. And
these terms and conditions are as follows:
A. Failure to attend the regular assembly will mean they will be relieved of
their next assignment as a disciplinary action but there are certain provisions.
As agreed upon by the core-group, there will be certain exclusions to the
disciplinary action, and these exclusions are:
i. if you're sick.
ii. if there's a family emergency.
iii. if you're rostered to work on that day and not be able to swap or take a
day off from work.
B. Failure to attend rehearsal will mean they will be relieved of their
assignment. Rosters are distributed at least a week before the 1st Sunday of
each month and rehearsal times are emailed by the worship leaders a few days
before Saturday which gives everyone the chance to set their schedules.
C. There will strictly be no practice 20 minutes before a Sunday Service. We are to allocate this time for prayer and devotion to set our hearts & minds for worship.
V. Special Events /Sunday Service Dress Code
VI. Housekeeping Policies
A. Every WAM member's duty and responsibility during practice & Sunday service is to ensure the safe handling and good care of all music materials, equipment and musical instruments. These includes the storing away of microphones/cables/jacks, song sheets, shutting down power switches and keeping the stage clean and tidy. Do not put food & drinks on top of keyboards, amps & other equipment. Report to the Sound Engineer or Worship/Overall/WAM Leader any potential health & safety hazards our equipment may cause.
James 1:5-6
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
